
Irene downs beloved 80-year-old tree in Brooklyn: One of the few American elms remaining in the city, the tree had weathered blizzards, winds, countless dogs, Dutch elm disease and perhaps that most menacing element of New York life — a residential building’s co-op board.

I already went shopping yesterday but wanted to get some more water and possibly a flashlight so I walked to a CVS near my place.
Well… Basically, this is what I saw. I sorta saw it coming so didn’t get too shocked, but it’s still quite amazing to see shelves emptied like this.
